I’ve been having my vehicles detailed by Kaval for the past few years.

My experience with Kaval has always been nothing short of excellent. Although he is extremely busy, his scheduling & flexibility has always been very customer oriented. My past experiences have been so positive that my brother subsequently brought Kaval out to eastern Ontario to detail his vehicles.

My most recent experience with Kaval involved a paint correction to a brand new vehicle purchase that was delivered to us in terrible condition. The vehicle had extensive swirl marks/scratches to much of the body from poor washing & pre-delivery prep job. There was scuff marks & damage on the lower passenger door and on the panel just behind the driver’s door. There was also a small dent on the driver’s side rear pillar.

Kaval’s efforts turned it all around. He removed most if not all of the damage to the vehicle’s black metallic finish & referred us to a colleague (Thilan Leanage at Dent Xpress) who specialized in dent removal. Thilan also outdid himself with flawless work.

The end result after Kaval applied Cquartz Finest was (as my wife’s co-workers put it) the shiniest car ever seen. Kaval’s attention to detail plus his competitive rates make him the choice for anyone who is particular about the investment they’ve made into their vehicle.

When I hired Make It Shine I had a nice car, now I have a really nice car. The shine, paint, colour and cleanliness of my car makes it hard to look away, lol. Of all the things I have bought to make my car look better, this was my best purchase. Its like a new lease on life for a car’s paint job. The CQuartz UK product they use is remarkable as well. Washing and drying is an absolute breeze.

I first contacted Kaval at Make It Shine Auto Detailing shortly after purchasing my recently imported Lancia Thema 8.32 in 2008 from Autoforum in Woodbridge. I loved the pristine alcantara suede and the hand stitched leather interior, and the fabulous Ferrari 8 cylinder quattrolvalvole engine squeezed into the engine bay, and how the car drove, however, I did not feel proud of the neglected and tired paint as well as two small door dings. The paint swirls upon paint swirls drove me nuts. Kaval referred me to a door ding guy that made the dings disappear. Then Kaval took the car for a couple days and spent countless hours with the challenged paint. I was worried as it was really a leap of faith at that time, as I only knew of a few Honda enthusiasts had great experiences (on-line forum reviews) with Kaval, but high end European Exotic paint was not his norm in those days. The paint from the factory was of very high quality and set a high mark challenge for correction, and the hand painted factory pin-striping had to worked around very carefully as to not burn it off with high speed buffing machines etc. Kaval was working out of an ordinary house garage and I was a little apprehensive about giving a young guy the keys to a Ferrari powered sleeper sedan.

When I picked the car up, its paint was unbelievable. The depth and richness of colour was of a concours show quality usually only seen on exotics or high end hot rod builds. I showed some Ferrari guys the car, and then I soon received an invitation to the Ferrari Club Of Canada Concours where I could display the car with pride alongside millions of dollars worth of fine machinery. Wifey and I dressed up for the event and mixed with and dined with the car and business nobility of Canada…what an experience. The car gleamed and caught many people’s attention alongside much more expensive cars parked on the estate lawn. I did not win lol as a $1,000,000 1960s era Ferrari Lusso did. I have been highly recommending Make It Shine Auto Detailing ever since.

Fast forward to 2014 and I imported an extremely low mileage Fiat Barchetta (from Japan) through Right Drive in Vaughan. Again the car was like new in every respect except it needed a new convertible top (dull and permanent marks where water had stained it) and paint swirls so bad on the body that the paint appeared as a dull bland colour under a fog. I had Right Drive arrange to have the convertible top replaced, and then called Kaval at Make It Shine. When I drove the little Mazda Miata-like car to Kaval, I am sure he may have chuckled at the cute odd little thing while at the same time thinking how sad and challenging the paint restoration on this car would be.

My wife doesn’t really like cars all that much, but she has a soft spot for vintage Fiats (not the new Chrysler Fiats currently for sale). She has owned a Fiat X 1/9 (unreliable) and a Fiat Turbo Coupe (which I loved but she hated as I had uprated the engine and turned it into a crazy beast), so the Barchetta was the answer to her needs, as it is “cute” and “blue” and under-powered, lol. I authorized Kaval to do everything in his power to “make-it-shine,” as this was my wife’s car and happy wife…happy life… so we discussed the paint correction needs, and then sealers. He recommended CQuartz Finest as the best product on the market to keep the Barchetta shiny and the colour rich and glossy with minimal washing maintenance by me. The result surprised everyone that has seen the car since completed. The paint was so rich and the colour so unusual and wonderful (with its blue and green tones changing in the light), and even the glass-like feel of the paint made the car “better than new” and everyone thought it was a brand new current Fiat despite being 17 years old. CQuartz Finest is worth the price…end of story!

I cannot say enough about the obsessive perfectionism and premium care provided by Kaval, his excellent listening skills to make sure the communication is clear, and his technical expertise which I would consider at the “Mastery” level. Some say “why would you spend that kind of money (which is a substantial fee, but similar to what others charge) on an old Fiat or an obscure 1980s era Lancia?”. If you see the cars, you know instantly. I likely added thousands of $ value to the Fiat’s small value. I am confident it would win any Fiat show it goes to… it is head and shoulders above any Barchetta, or Turbo Coupe, or Fiat 500 I have ever seen. Do I wish it cost less?…sure. Would I pay more if Kaval raised his prices… absolutely (just don’t tell him that).

A couple of years ago I purchased a Lotus Evora S GP Edition (in the Formula One Lotus JPS Livery). Now it is time to address some minor swirls and abrasion resulting from a contractor dropping some drywall dirt and debris on my car while doing our roof-mounted solar panel installation at out home. The car looks black, but has three colours of metal flake in the special edition paint that gleams wonderfully in sunlight. There were only 3 cars allocated to Canada out of a total world production of 50 cars, so I am anal on how I want it to be presented on any given day. Kaval is the ONLY detailer I trust to look after the exterior finish on this car. Come spring, Kaval will correct the paint, and I have every confidence that he will do it superbly despite having to work around all those slightly raised factory-painted gold stripes. Kaval is a MASTER and Make-It-Shine is the place where you can leave your car in complete confidence that the detailing will be perfect… and I mean perfect.

I just want to thank you again for the outstanding work Kaval. The car got reactions from everybody. It was an absolute pleasure dealing with you and gaining all the knowledge you shared. Your passion shows in the results. I had all my buddies ask ‘who’ and ‘where!’

My experience with Make it Shine was absolutely amazing. The service was professional and courteous and most importantly the work was excellent. My car was only about 1 month old but because of dealership neglect, the paint finish looked much older, and had major swirling and buffing damage. Make it Shine was able to restore the paint finish to what it was meant to look like, a new car. The paint now shines, and has a liquid look and feel. Only the best products were used to restore the paint, and of course many hours of skilled labour. In all, the car underwent an 8-9 hour paint restoration process. I could not believe it was possible to take my car from what it was to where it is now.

Kaval assured me that he would be able to fix all the damage, but after the problems and false promises I had with the dealership, I was still worried. I had no reason to be. It was everything I had hoped and more. The ordeal I have gone through is now a little easier to take, only because Make it Shine was able to deliver on its promise: a great quality detail at a reasonable price, and a quality of workmanship that should be a benchmark for all other so-called ‘professionals’ to follow.

I would not hesitate to bring my car back to Make it Shine. In fact, that is the only place that I will bring my car.

Anyone who knows me or can get a good sense of how I use my vehicles knows I would rather go drive the wheels off than make it look all nice and pretty. Of course I’ve bent a little with a fresh black car and I consider this probably some of the best money I have ever spent on a car.

As Kaval pointed out, initially he was simply going to go over it like he would any new car, but after he saw it, he made his suggestion on how to properly handle the situation the car was in. Although it was a new car, it was clearly neglected in my opinion, the result of being handled by people who did not own the car. Kaval has lots of experience and knows what’s needed to be done. Allowed to work his magic with cost not being a consideration, the results speak for themselves. He did a phenomenal job and treated the car as if it were his own. The 17 hours he spent working on the car are simply proof of this.

I found great information on this site and contacted and tried Kaval, the young man was amazing. Hard working running his own company and willing to come to you. He made my 16m shine flawless. He could tell how picky I was and walked me thru each step. I really enjoy the experience and would highly suggest him to anyone looking to correct the paint on the car.

I’m the owner of a 2004 Honda Civic and recently had my car detailed by Make It Shine. I’ve owned the vehicle for close to 8 years, and though I try to take care of the exterior of the vehicle as best as I could, it was still inevitable that swirl marks and imperfections such as light scratches started to build on my vehicle’s paint surface. I tried to wax the car myself countless times, but could never manage to remove the marks on the paint. Kaval, The car looks amazing! I can’t believe the shine and gloss after the correction & CQuartz UK coating. Honestly it feels like I’m looking at/driving a new car. I’ve never posted a review about anyone ever, but I was extremely pleased with my car and the service I received.

I recently bought a 2015 VW GTI. My car was delivered to me covered with marring, scratches and nicks in the paint that was then covered up by the dealer with a thick coat of wax, after I had asked them specifically to do nothing except remove the plastic and not to touch the paint or dress the tires at delivery. 4 days after delivery, I brought the GTI to Kaval at Makeitshine, who indicated to me that the vehicle had a lot of wax and wax residue on there and there was significant damage in the paint.

I dropped it off at 8 AM on Tuesday and and watched Kaval finish the car on Friday night at 9:30 PM. Each day Kaval will send me updated pictures of new damage he discovered on the paint, either introduced during the PDI process or from the factory (of which we are not sure). Kaval would text me and he would be working at 9 or 10 in the evening. He would also send pictures of the progress and how the car was looking. Naturally I was a bit antsy to not have the car for that long, but Kaval replied to every message and called me personally to update me every day. Rather than the 7 hours he quoted me at, it took over 30 hours and 4 days, and in the end I only paid $110 more for all the additional work required (your mileage may vary, when it comes to this much extra work, but he was very pleasant about the whole thing).

His work speaks for itself, but his professionalism was what made the transaction most pleasant. If you’re looking to have Opticoat Pro or cQuartz Finest applied, you will not be disappointed with Kaval.

We recently had our car detailed by Kaval. We had just bought a new vehicle and needed to return our leased one. We didn’t purchase the scratch protection at the timeof lease and 3 years of use was enough to accumulate plenty of small imperfections (not to mention some small and one not so small dents). Reading the feedback and seeing the pictures of his work online, I knew Kaval would be perfect for the job. Turns out he was too good…

After he was through with it the paint looked markedly better than our brand new car. We returned the leased car last night and I was actually sad turning the car in as it had never looked this good. Pricing was extremely fair. We originally thought the car would require a lot of work, but Kaval thought that would be extreme for a lease return and let us know of a more cost-effective option. We ended up going that route (I can only imaging what the car would look like after the more advanced treatments). He also took care of the dents through an outside source and was sure to keep us updated every step of the way.

I was fortunate enough to find out about Kaval on an online car forum. I was blown away by his before and after pictures. It was mind blowing that there was no bodywork or paint done to these cars. Just high-quality products, patience and good old fashion elbow grease.

I met Kaval from Makeitshine.ca through one of the local car forums that I frequently visit. At the time, I was looking for an experienced and knowledgeable detailer to work on my car. After surfing through a few of his thread and his high positive feedback from a lot of very well known and respected members of the forum and car community, I decided to get in contact with Kaval to see what we can put together.

After a few messages back and forth, we were able to set up a day where he would come over to work on my vehicle that needed some serious professional attention. The day was to start early due to the amount of work that needed to be done. Although he lived literally on the other side of the city, he made it to my place on time as per our agreement.

I’ll let the pictures of the before and after do the talking about the quality of his work that I am more than pleased with. I would also like to point out that since I wasn’t too knowledgeable about the ins and outs of the automotive detailing industry, Kaval, during the process, was educating me as well. He was talking about the different products and what they do, what and what not to use on certain surfaces, and most importantly at the end, he was also able to tell me what I needed to do, to maintain the shine and coat he applied to my car.

I actually had my 2 cars detailed by Kaval (My Mazda3 and Ford Escape). I wish I took pictures so that I can post it here but Kaval did the cars in the afternoon evening to accomodate my work schedule (which in itself speaks volumes) but by the time I went to pick up my cars it was dark outside.

For the 07 Mazda 3 Kaval did the Rejuvenation Package that included a clay bar, light polish and sealant/coating. The Galaxy Gray looked amazing after he was done with, almost like it changed color a bit. And oh what a shine it has! I am very happy with it, he also did a great job cleaning the rims (wheel well and everything) and dressed the tire (after really scrubbing it down, not just covering it up with shine) perfectly. My 05 Ford Escape needed more work so I went with the Rejuvination Package that included thorough 1 step polish to remove years of my car sitting outside with no garage. Again, amazing job, excellent color resotration, it’s a straight black but it shines so good I can comb my hair off it. Kavsl even showed me what the 2 step polish does (A higher package) and the 2 step is unbelievable, I am getting this next and highly recommend this to anyone that has scratches on their car and wants to truly perfect restoration of their paint to a better than new look. Just like my Mazda3, the tires and wheels were cleaned and dressed perfectly, I just can’t get over the paint and how great it looks.

What I can tell you is that his work is top notch, we are talking attention to detail, not just some Joe-Shmo cleaning your car at Fine Details (I had some bad experiences there) not caring about the work he does. Kaval is genuinely interested in Customer Satisfaction, he even followed up with me after a few days to see if everything was good, if I have any concerns. Kaval will even set you up with a maintenance plan, he will even call you to let you know when your car is due for a package.

If you are interested in just that little extra in Customer Service (he even picked me up and dropped me off at my work for each of my cars, which was about a 10 minutes drive each way) and want the piece of mind that you want someone looking after your car as though it were their own, go with Kaval, you will be happy with the results. Kaval, good job, keep that attention to detail, and passion for “Making it Shine” you will build a great customer base with the quality of work that you do.

This past Saturday Kaval performed the new car prep package on my new vehicle.

When I dropped the car off to him it didn’t seem like the paint was that bad. He went over the car with me and pointed out swirl marks and fine scratches that I did not even see. He has a really good eye for these things. He then went over the process with me and what products he would use. I felt completely at ease leaving my car in his care. He said it would be 5-6 hours till the job was complete. I dropped the car off around 1pm. At around 5:30 I called to see how it was going. He said he wanted some more time with the car to “Make It Shine” even more as he was not happy with the paint. I was thoroughly impressed that he would take more time to make my cars paint look like it should.

When I finally went to pick up the car my jaw dropped. All I can say is WOW. The car looked like glass. The rims looked better than brand new as well as the tires. I had a friend who drove me to pick up the car and even he said the car looked unbelievable. I am thoroughly impressed with Kaval’s work. I would recommend anyone who needs his or her car detailed to let him take care of you because he genuinely cares about your vehicle. Another plus is that he genuinely loves what he does. He also made it a point to go over the car with me after he was finished and pointed out some problem areas that would require more work (deeper scratches) as well as some stone chips on the hood that he even offered to fill once I got the touch-up paint.
